Shapleigh's Ultra Casting Tackle

Shapleigh's sold a large line of quality tackle which was mostly manufactured by the leading tackle makers of the time. Occasionally fishing items marked only with the Ultra Casting and Diamond Brand slogans turn up. Several lures in wooden and cardboard boxes labeled Ultra Casting Minnow have been found .The following lures have been reported to have been found in Ultra Casting Minnow labeled boxes- F.C. Woods Expert, Bottle Nose Tadpolly and Ypsilanti minnow. Shapleigh's sold a ton of tackle , so I have no doubt other classic baits and reels will turn up in Shapleigh's boxes. In the past I have had screw top metal canisters marked Ultra Casting that originally housed Shapleigh's Ultra Casting Line Spools.
